About Emma

My name is Emma Fenton, and I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Somatic Therapist with over 16 years of experience supporting individuals and families across the lifespan.

I have a mixed race background of English and Vietnamese. I have a strong interest in travel and have lived in a number of states around Australia and lived over in Germany. I have an interest in linguistics, language and culture. In recent years I have obtained my own ADHD diagnosis which has allowed me to identify with the strengths of pragmatic problem solving and interest in psychology and human experience to support my clients.

My experience spans neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), carer and parenting support, aged care, early childhood intervention, and first responders/emergency services (with a particular interest in firefighters). I also work across WorkCover and employee assistance programmes, community health, hospitals, and government services, bringing a grounded, adaptable perspective to whatever you're navigating.

​​I specialise in teaching practical skills to manage anxiety, overwhelming thoughts, and emotional challenges so that clients feel in control of their thoughts rather than controlled by them.

My approach combines evidence-based therapies including ACT, DBT, CBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Executive Function Coaching, with a focus on creating inclusive, affirming, and safe spaces—particularly for neurodivergent individuals.

I have a particular interest in neurodivergence, grief work, life transitions, male mental health, anxiety, depression and trauma and welcome referrals.

I offer telehealth-only sessions available on Mondays and Wednesdays.
